View Ancient Rome in 3D

Using Google Earth you can see Rome as it looked in 320 AD and fly down to see the famous buildings and monuments all in glorious 3D.

Simply select the "Ancient Rome 3D" layer under Gallery in Google Earth and enjoy. Thanks for this one Stylianos.

The Digital 3D You is Here Now

At BIGstage you can create your own digital 3D image, which you can then insert into photos, social networking sites and videos.

You easily create "a sophisticated, life-like 3-D model of your face – your Big Stage @ctor™ – by uploading digital photos of your face, taken with a standard digital camera."

You can then "customize your @ctor with accessories, such as clothing, hairstyles, eyeglasses and more, and insert it into a growing library of movie scenes, TV and movie clips, music videos, virtual worlds, social networks, still images, video games, and advertisements to share with friends, family and colleagues."

OK, so I haven't thought of a good educational use for this yet but it's just so 'cool', I had to spread the word :-)

My thanks to Esther Shamsunder, for writing about BIGstage.
