Mobile Learning Blog Compilation

An interesting compilation from Edudemic on the topic of mobile learning.

Probably still early days for many schools/colleges but nice to see that:

These days, though, many tech-savvy teachers actively try to incorporate them into engaging lessons rather than snatching them away.

At the very least mobile devices are a great tool for commumication. Free text messaging using google apps via google calendar works seemlessly!

EduBlogging Research Poll

Karenne Sylvester is currently researching EduBlogging and is looking for your help!

Karenne is looking for volunteers who will help out with "answering quick (usually under a minute, sometimes up to 5 minutes) polls on some of the questions" which arise regarding Edublogging, such as "who we are and what we're doing in our classrooms and with colleagues".

If you have the time and want to help out just fill in the application form.

Once Karenne has collected significant data she will convert "the graphs and charts into higher resolution slides and load these all up into wikimedia commons so that you too can use them in whatever way you wish!"

Has to be good for everyone!!!

Survey for Edubloggers

Edublogger Survey

Sanjaya Mishra is undertaking a study entitled "Bloggers in Education: their beliefs, motivation, and perceived impact" and is seeking the help of fellow edubloggers.

The purpose of the study is to "understand who are the educational bloggers, and what are their beliefs and motivation to blog".

Sanjaya is asking other edubloggers to fill in an online survey, which should only take 10-15 minutes of you time. If you haven't done so, there is still time to submit your answers!

Should be interesting to see the results of the survey which Sanjaya promises to share.
