Training Videos for Wordpress

WordPress Training

WordPress Training provide excellent video tutorials covering all aspects of using Wordpress (version 2.5) including installing and upgrading.

Their hope is that WordPress Training will "appeal to both novice and experienced WordPress users. Whether you're looking for a comprehensive overview of the entire WordPress system, or simple insight into a single administrative page".

A very useful site. Hopefully, WordPress Training will be adding/amending videos to cover any new aspects associated with the new WordPress 2.7 version released this month!!

The Digital 3D You is Here Now

At BIGstage you can create your own digital 3D image, which you can then insert into photos, social networking sites and videos.

You easily create "a sophisticated, life-like 3-D model of your face – your Big Stage @ctor™ – by uploading digital photos of your face, taken with a standard digital camera."

You can then "customize your @ctor with accessories, such as clothing, hairstyles, eyeglasses and more, and insert it into a growing library of movie scenes, TV and movie clips, music videos, virtual worlds, social networks, still images, video games, and advertisements to share with friends, family and colleagues."

OK, so I haven't thought of a good educational use for this yet but it's just so 'cool', I had to spread the word :-)

My thanks to Esther Shamsunder, for writing about BIGstage.

Mouse Control using the Keyboard

Keyboard and Mouse

MouseEmu emulates mouse movements and clicks via the keyboard.

This is a handy little program for when your mouse is not working or for those that find using a mouse difficult.

MouseEmu can also toggle mouse buttons with a simple key press which is "very useful for RSI users that have problems with drag operations with the mouse". Thanks Amit for this one!
