With the unfortunate, recent, demise of BeTwitter, I had to look for a suitable replacement for my iGoogle page. Enter TwitterGadget!
TwitterGadget is proving to be an excellent replacement. It lets you do everything, twitter related, all in the one place and I do mean everything!!! Just have a look at the video below.

Earth Hour began in 2007 in Sydney, Australia when 2.2 million homes and businesses turned their lights off for one hour to make their stand against climate change.
The following year, Earth Hour became a global sustainability movement with more than 50 million people across 35 countries participating.
In March 2009, hundreds of millions of people took part in the third Earth Hour. Over 4000 cities in 88 countries officially switched off to pledge their support for the planet, making Earth Hour 2009 the world’s largest global climate change initiative.
Why not participate in Earth Hour 2010 which takes place on Saturday 27 March at 8.30pm (local time) and is a global call to action to every individual, every business and every community throughout the world.
Join millions of other people across the world from all walks of life by turning off your lights and unite together in celebration and contemplation of the one thing we all have in common – our planet.

UMapper, the web-based map authoring application, has recently added two great features to their weather template. You can now get temperatures and five day weather forecasts for anywhere in the world.
Just click on the auto-updated temperature layer to get the current conditions and forecasts for your area of choice. Temperatures can be displayed in Fahrenheit or Celsius.
This is another great addition from UMapper where you can also create interactive maps and geogames like this one on the geography of France!
The list is divided into three categories:
* movers
* shakers
* on the ground
The 'movers' focuses on "teachers who facilitate learning among other teachers and in the classroom". The 'shakers' features those who "teach new philosophies and innovations". While, 'on the ground' highlights educators offering "news, tools and methods of using those tools in the classroom".
I was delighted and honored to find that Using ICT in Further Education has in fact been included in the 'on the ground' section. Many thanks Emily.
